"Fiancée" is the new spring-summer collection 2014 by Xoanyu as a critique the rol of the today’s woman in a hypocritical society that continually use stereotypes as a means of overshadow her or on the contrary, show her as a mere object of desire. For this reason, has been chosen for play of transparency as well as by details and patterns that play with the stereotypes which are presented in fine decoration as ruffles, laces, demure long, rucks and pleats. Talking about the fabrics used, as always Xoanyu has used 100% cotton and has joined silk, embroidered silk and vintage handmade embroidered lace. To emphasize the stereotypes, the study of color is based on a palette that combine  primary colors: red, blue and beige. A collection which introduced for the first time prom dresses that is designed to seduce keeping fresh lines and relaxed  that Xoanyu has always based itself upon.

Rosslyn

In the village of Roslin Glen (Scotland) we visited the famous Rosslyn chapel, which is better known for its connection with the novel “The DaVinci code” and its mysterious correlation with the “Knights Templar” and other secrets congretations. Close to this we could see the ruins of the castle of the same name. If you like this, you can also view Edinburgh, lifestyle on our magazine.

TRIADS

"Triads" collection fall-winter 2013/14  is the result of the last trips to Scottish Highlands. Because of this, it is a collection that draws on the celtic culture and its symbolism. Also, as asturians (north of Spain), we always felt a certain fascination with our celtic roots and we enjoyed researching more deeply into all this amazing culture that fuses nature with mythological and magical. In fact, the colours used in the collection are an allusion to nature with the sea and  forest as inspiration and introducing subtly colorful details to give more dynamism.

The name of the collection is due to the importance of the number three for the Celts. This has been elaborate with the triangle as a reference in creating and respecting a harmony color-form, furthermore, has always been part of our methodology.

And of course, considering the inspiration, couldn’t missing the checkered prints,  the noble and comfortable fabrics and the volumes and layers.
